Sunbeam Alpine.
Sunbeam Alpine: This is actually my fathers Sunbeam Alpine that he drives and I keep going :-) Last year he did let me take it to school when I was still in sixth form. Lets just say I was the only kid in sixth form to turn up in a petrol, blue, 1725cc, classic, soft top, sports car!!! all the girls thought it was from 'grease' :-)
By the way, to get it to shine like that took me ages!!!
As you can see from the pictures it is in very good condition. The 1725cc twin Stromberg carb engine is very lively and for an old car just loves to be revved. The sound of this thing accelerating is enough to make you go weak at the knees!
We bought the car a few years ago from a mature student learning how to restore classic cars. This was his second attempt at a full rebuild. He did do a very good job but there are a few jobs that could be re-done to make it mint. The car has never been out in rain once and I honestly cannot find one bit of rust on the complete car. The bodywork really is mint.
Below: What a real engine bay should look like ;-)
